New Sous Chef Bringing Fresh Feel to DiamondJacks

(Bossier City, LA) August 29, 2014- DiamondJacks Casino and Hotel is excited to announce our new Sous Chef Michael Pacheco. He is bringing excitement and new ideas to DiamondJacks’ signature restaurant DJ’s Seafood & Steaks.

Sous Chef Michael Pacheco, an El Paso, TX native has traveled around the United States working and learning in a variety of restaurants, from New York smokehouses to Asian eateries. He has learned different cultures and traditions of cooking, and has fused it together to bring a style to the South that is all his own. Living through his own battle with throat cancer at the age of 35, Michael possesses an energetic, daring feel in his cooking that you can taste. He strives to make your meal bring back a feeling, but with a twist of a style that’s as original as he is. He is known for his melting pot of creations in the kitchen, and in the words of Sous Chef Michael himself “food is people, food is memories.” You can find him cooking away in the kitchen at DJ’s Seafood & Steaks every Thursday through Sunday.

DJ’s Seafood & Steaks offers a variety of thick juicy steaks, succulent pork chops, and savory seafood to fill anybody’s craving. With an open kitchen setup you will be fascinated by the sounds, mouthwatering smells, and sights of the chefs hard at work. Open Thursday through Sunday, reservations are not required but recommended.
